The on-line registration system
for swimmers in now operational. Swimmers who wish to
register themselves with USMS can do so, and pay with a
credit card, at: You may print out the paper registration and mail it in as well. PDF Moving or changing teams? Use the Transfer form -PDF New & Continuing Team Registration New teams and all renewing teams must be registered as a team and update club information. There are two types of swimming “teams” within the Metropolitan LMSC: stand-alone CLUBS and WORKOUT GROUPS under an umbrella club. The only differences between the two are: 1. members of a CLUB may only compete on relays with members of the same CLUB; whereas members of a WORKOUT GROUP may compete on relays with members of other workout groups under the same umbrella club (Metro Masters and Westchester Masters are currently the only 2 clubs with workout groups) 2. CLUBS need to register every year and pay an annual registration fee (currently $50); WORKOUT GROUPS do not need to pay any fee. To register a CLUB, fill out the registration form PDF and mail it and a check to the registrar. The abbreviation you request for your CLUB name has to be approved by the USMS National Office. When it is finalized the CLUB will be entered into the registration database and swimmers may begin to register as members of the new CLUB. The Registrar will respond to tell you when the workout group has been entered in the system. Swimmers first select the CLUB then the WORKOUT GROUP when using the on-line system (example: METR is club selection, CIBB is workout group selected).
